If you want to build a KITT replica that is as close as possible to the original from the early days of the TV series, this front bumper should be your first choice.
When Marc Brown built his KITT replica, he realized that none of the front bumpers available on the market really matched the original from the TV series. He was struck by the fact that the angle between the “upper lip” and “lower lip” was too steep on almost all front bumpers and the edges were too sharp and only looked “similar” to KITT in the TV series.
Without further ado, he designed this front himself and succeeded in creating a masterpiece. The front is absolutely symmetrical, extremely robust and accurately fitting and matches the original front of KITT (especially in the earlier episodes) from the TV series like no other front available on the market.
The front is available in two different versions:
- 1st Season 1 - with cutouts for the turn signals, which are then covered by the turn signal blackouts. Exactly as KITT was designed by Michael Scheffe in Season 1.
- Season 2/3 - without cut-outs for the indicators. After Season 1 and the pilot film, the front of KITT was produced without the cut-outs for the indicators, but the demarcations for the covers were still present and clearly visible.
Grill bars are available for both versions. These are the strips in the slot openings for the fog lights.
